Is your doctor really responsible for keeping you healthy? Who has the ultimate responsibility for taking care of your body? When preventable health problems happen, who is to BLAME?
Here is my take on the topic:
Responsibility, blame, and fault are three different concepts that are often confused. Ultimately, responsibility to elicit change must be taken by the person who wants to change in order for anything to get done. You can blame and finger-wave all day, but if YOU are the one with the problem then you must take steps to fix whatever is wrong. The first step is taking responsibility…then action becomes your duty!
